Let out your inner artist at Dubai Garden Glow
200 artists from across the world were specially invited to create these magical artworks
The UAE - and Dubai in particular - has become a hub for art with its pantheon of galleries and art festivals. Dubai is now recognized as being the art capital of the region. Taking this artistic frame of mind forward, Dubai Garden Glow, the city's unique 'glowing' theme park - the first of its kind in the world - has introduced an Art Park this season, in addition to its other attractions.
If you have children who are not grown up enough to enjoy the finer nuances of art in galleries, but curious enough to be budding artists, look no further! Strong imageries from the animal kingdom and stunning lighting work beautifully together to make the Art Park experience unforgettable.
Even better, this is an Art Park with a strong message: sustainability and the virtue of being eco-friendly. There's no better way to get your child acquainted with the concepts of both art and sustainability at one go! What's more, this thoughtful theme is bound to fuel your child's creative enterprise ("how can I recycle everyday objects and make something artistic with them?"), while giving the adults a lot to think about in an era where being 'environmental-friendly' has become a buzzword.
All installations, that are based on the 'glowing safari' theme, have used recycled materials. There are 500,000 units of glass bottles, plastic bottles, porcelain plates/dishes and 1,000 CDs that have gone into building the artworks. 200 artists from across the world were specially invited to create these magical artworks - and they took around 60 days to complete the park. And the result of this diligence and attention to detail is there for all to see!
As you step towards the Art Park section, there's the magnificent big bull, done up using brilliant yellow-hued bottles. there's a colourful peacock. an elephant made of porcelain household items. camels on a trot. and lots more that you have to see for yourself in order to believe this act of glowing artistic sustainability.
