The 2016 edition - being held in collaboration with Al Jalila Foundation and organised by Online Auctions - is to be held on February 6. Part of the proceeds will be allocated to Al Jalila Foundation's endeavour in scientific and medical researching. According to du, the auction is part of the company's ongoing initiatives to contribute to the UAE's national innovation strategy, particularly in the healthcare and technology sectors.
"We would like to praise the continued support from du for meaningful activities and projects, where medical research and healthcare industry development claim major interest," said Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, CEO of the Al Jalila Foundation.
In total, the Special Numbers Auction will offer 50 exclusive packages in four different categories: Auction Gold, Auction Diamond, Auction Platinum and Auction Platinum Plus. The winners will receive a number of benefits, including flexible minutes, roaming minutes, data, monthly bill discounts and free smart phones.
"Our special numbers auctions have opened the doors to pioneer new avenues for giving back," said Ahmed Aburahima, du's Executive VP for Government Relations.
