Housing loans, grants worth Dh218.9m for 447 UAE citizens

Dubai - Dr Al Nuaimi said that the welfare of citizens and the provision of appropriate residences are part and parcel of the UAE leadership's plans.

The Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme has endorsed the names of 447 eligible citizens for housing loans and grants worth Dh218.9 million, of which 317 will be loans and 130 grants.
This was revealed during the third Board of Directors meeting of the programme chaired by Dr Abdullah Belhaiv Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Chairman of the Board.
The move follows the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow-up by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Dr Al Nuaimi said that the welfare of citizens and the provision of appropriate residences are part and parcel of the UAE leadership's plans to ensure stability and happiness of citizens. He referred to the implementation of housing projects by 2020 that would benefit 4,229 beneficiaries.
Jamila Mohammed Alffendi, Director-General of the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme, said the residential projects are being carried out as per schedule. - Wam
