Guidebook on property in UAQ issued

Dr Musabeh Rashid Hamid, Director-General of UAQ Municipality, pointed out that the construction boom in the emirate had necessitated the release of such a guidebook.

He said the architectural designs of buildings pass through various phases before the final design is approved. However, the safety factor, he said, is considered the most important in the construction of any building.

He hoped that the engineering consultancy offices and contractors would abide by the stipulations mentioned in the book.

Dr Musabeh committees headed by Nimr Ahmed, in-charge of the Legal Affairs Section in the UAQ Municipality, referred to manuals from the GCC countries carrying the guidelines for building construction.'He clarified that all the construction designs and attributes earlier approved by the municipality will remain valid.
