Call to preserve geoheritage sites of UAE

The Ministry of Energy has called for conserving the UAE's geoheritage sites that date back to 560 million years.

The ministry said on Sunday that God had endowed the country with diverse and beautiful terrain, which attracted scientists and geologists.

The ministry will be issuing a brochure about the most distinguished geological areas with coordinates and recommendations to preserve their geological nature from extinction, being the state’s geological heritage. —
