Get entry, residence permits at Abu Dhabi typing centres

Typing centres in Abu Dhabi have started printing entry permits following the launch of the new smart visa system.
Under the smart visa system launched on August 1, individuals and establishments can obtain entry and residency permits online without having to visit the immigration centres.
Abdul Latheef of Al Areef Typing Centre said they got the license to access and print e-permits from July 10 onwards.
"We have paid Dh7000 as licensing fee to get a dedicated Login ID and Password. Now people can access most of the visa-related services from our typing centre," said Latheef.

"Whether it is visa cancellation, entry permit requests, status change or residency visa application, now we can apply online by uploading all the supporting documents. The approved permits are accessible online within 24 hours, and can be printed at our centre."
Latheef said some of his customers who applied for residency permits for their family members got the approval in less than an hour.
Salam, who works at the Emirates Typing Centre said if applications are submitted on urgent category, they are processed in less than 24 hours.
"The e-permit is a hassle-free system. Applications are sent back or rejected only if relevant documents are missing. But we are well-trained to handle the new system."
