Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif hosted the online game in the GCC, EA Sports Fifa 17, live on PlayStation 4, exclusively during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS).
Over the two-day final playoffs held at City Centre Mirdif, 511 games were played with Nasr Haddadin taking the grand cash prize of Dh50,000 home.
Over 3,000 participants played the game during DSS, each of them vying to take the top spot and win the grand cash prize in the 1vs1 game. The malls have hosted a staggering 1,800 Fifa Live games, totalling 20,000 minutes played!
The runner up in the 1vs1 competition won Dh15,000, while in the 2vs2 competitions 1st place took home Dh4,000 and 2nd place won Dh1,000.
Players battled it out to win some incredible prizes. The top 10 players, the winning pair of 2vs2 and top 8 players of 1vs1 each won a football jersey while the top goal scorer in 1vs1 walked away with a PlayStation Pro Gift Pack every week. During the weekdays, players competed in the 100 fastest goals challenge to win Fifa ultimate team codes.
Now in its 20th year, DSS puts a spotlight on Dubai's best retail and entertainment offerings with promotions and discounts, grand prizes, free concerts, unique games and children's shows throughout the summer months.
