Dubai - Imran aide Zulfi Bukhari welcomes investment pledge in Pakistan's hospitality sector

Sayed Zulfi Abbas Bukhari, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, became the first official dignitary to visit the UAE after the Covid-19 restrictions were eased.
During a two-day visit, Bukhari met UAE Minister for Human Resources and Emiratisation Nasser bin Thani Juma Al Hamli to discuss issues pertaining to the job situation of Pakistani expats. He also visited the Khaleej Times headquarters on Saturday.
During a meeting with Bukhari, Suhail Galadari, Co-Chairman of Galadari Brothers, committed Rs10 million for the repatriation of stranded Pakistanis in the UAE. He also pledged to invest in the hospitality and tourism sector of Pakistan in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan's tourism vision, which is being effectively implemented by Bukhari.
Bukhari thanked Galadari Brothers for their humanitarian gesture and investment pledge. "What Suhail Galadari pledged for the repatriation of Pakistanis is a huge announcement and we really thank him for his kind gesture," said Bukhari. His pledge to invest in Pakistan shows that if we really work hard, we can attract big groups like Galadari Brothers who are pioneers in resorts and hotels in this country. I hope Galadari Brothers will have the same kind of footprint in Pakistan.
"We welcome them and offer our full support in their future investments in Pakistan," said Bukhari, adding that Galadari Brothers is a leading name in the hospitality sector known across the world.
Suhail Galadari thanked Bukhari for visiting the Khaleej Times headquarters and appreciated his efforts for the development of Pakistan. He stressed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has given an opportunity to young, talented people such as Bukhari to serve the country and bring real changes to society.
Ahmed Amjad Ali, Consul-General of Pakistan, and Fakhre-e-Alam, renowned entertainer and adventurer, were present during the meeting. Fakhre-e-Alam welcomed the Galadari Brothers' initiative to facilitate stranded Pakistanis and the investment pledge in Pakistan's hospitality sector.
