An Arab man stood trial at the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court over charges of failing to pay Dh1 million due to his business partner.

The man admitted to his crime in the court, but added that he had already paid half of that debt to his partner.
"I would request some grace period to pay the outstanding amount."
As per court records, the case unfolded when the complainant - a GCC national - approached the Fujairah police station and filed a legal case against the defendant.
In his complaint, he said that his business partner did not pay him the debt, submitting all documents to prove his case.
The accused was summoned and referred to the public prosecution.
He later appeared at the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court where he affirmed his intention to pay the rest of the debt.
The court ordered adjournment of the case to issue its ruling.
