Fire erupts in UAE building, 150 families evacuated

Fujairah - No casualties have been reported.

The Fujairah Civil Defence evacuated 150 families from 48 apartments of Al Khail building in Fujairah after a fire erupted in one of the apartments.
No casualties have been reported.
The Civil Defence, which received a call at 10:49pm on Tuesday, dispatched firefighters who managed to control the fire.

Col. Khalid Al Hamoudi, Director of Fujairah Civil Defence, said that the fire started at the kitchen of an apartment on the seventh floor. It spread to other rooms, gutting several items.
He urged building owners to install fire equipment and follow fire protection regulations to prevent the loss of lives and properties.
