Foggy, rainy forecast for parts of UAE

Heavy fog descends upon parts of Abu Dhabi.

As the mercury continues to drop across the UAE, with the advent of winter, the national met agency warned of heavy fog and mist formation this morning in parts of UAE.
According to UAE's National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, satellite images showed thick fog forming over Abu Dhabi's Liwa, Madinat Zayed, SILA and adjoining areas.
The visibility in Liwa was up to 100 meters.

Al Ain's Swiehan woke up to a mist this morning, according to NCMS.

Earlier, NCMS had warned against chance of fog and mist formation with poor visibility - less than 1000 meters - over some internal and coastal areas.
NCMS predicts fair to partly cloudy weather over some areas, some low clouds may appear over eastern & northern areas may be convective and accompanied by some rain.
Light to moderate winds in general, freshening during cloud activity and blowing dust/sand at times.
The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal & coastal areas with a chance of mist/fog formation especially over the west.
Sea will be moderate in general & rough in any cloud activity in the Arabian Gulf & Oman Sea.
The forecast for tomorrow is fair to partly cloudy weather over some areas. Light to moderate winds in general. The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal & coastal areas with a chance of mist/fog formation.
