Fishermen warned as sea turns rough
ABU DHABI - The Met office in Abu Dhabi yesterday warned fishermen not to venture out to the sea because the tides have turned rough due to the fierce winds.

The south-westerly wind is blowing in the north-western direction at a speed of 10-15 knots and around 20 knots in the plains, while the wind from north-west is around 18 knots and reaching up to 26 knots over the sea.
It sometimes reaches up to 30 knots causing problem for normal sailing, said forecaster Hashshad Salama.

Salama said, “This situation occurred due to expansion of higher winds over the Arabian Peninsula and low pressure over Iran, which resulted in north-westerly strong winds.
The maximum temperature in the next two days will be 29-31 degrees Celsius and the minimum 18-22 degrees.
The maximum humidity level will be 70-80 per cent and minimum humidity level 30-40 per cent.
