Firms honoured for support to special needs children

Members of the media were also honoured for highlighting the issues faced by children with special needs.

The ceremony was held in Dubai under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Head of the Dubai Civil Aviation Department and Chairman of Emirates Group, who is also chairman of the Board of Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Shaikh Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, managing director of the centre, a number of senior officials and businessmen, managers and representatives of more than 150 companies, and members of the media.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Khoury, one of the founders of the centre, emphasised the importance of the role played by the public and private sectors in supporting the activities carried out by special needs centres.Shaikha Moza bint Saeed bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum was another distinguished guest who was honoured for her continued support to the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre.
