Light to moderate rain lashed parts of the UAE on Wednesday morning according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCM).
In the past couple of hours, the NCM has reported light to moderate showers over Sharjah and Dubai and Abu Dhabi Airport.

According to the Met department's forecast, there will be a significant drop in temperature with a chance of rain as the weather gets cloudy.
The rainy weather is expected to continue till Saturday.
The country has been sweating after the mercury rose following last week's rains. On Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded hit almost 40°C.

The weather throughout the week will remain "dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some areas, with a probability of light rainfall at night over some western, coastal areas and islands, with a significant decrease in temperatures", the NCM said.
