Ras Al Khaimah's Air Wing division, with the help of some Emirati citizens, rescued an Asian man who was injured during a camping trip last weekend. Around 3.30pm in the afternoon, police were notified that a man in his thirties had been injured while he was on a camping trip with two of his friends in Ras Al Khaimah's mountain area nearly 3,500 metres above sea level. Helicopters were dispatched to their location, according to police sources. Local Emirati families who lived in the area also assisted the Air wing in giving the injured man some first aid. He was taken to the nearest hospital to continue his treatment and recuperation. He has since been released from the hospital. RAK Police called on all tourists and visitors who go on private mountain trips to exercise caution and follow all guidelines issued by the authorities for their own safety.
