The airline had earlier announced a suspension flights to Tehran till July 9, after Iran's airspace remained closed despite the Israel-Iran ceasefire following a 12-day conflict between the two countries.
Iran announced last week that it had reopened its airspace, including over Tehran, after closing it on June 13 due to the conflict with Israel, according to state media.
"Tehran's Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini international airports, as well as those in the north, east, west and south of the country, have been reopened and are ready to operate flights," the official IRNA news agency reported.
Flights between Dubai and three cities in Iran via flydubai have returned to full operations since Friday, July 4. A flydubai spokesperson confirmed to Khaleej Times “flights to Bandar Abbas, Mashhad and Tehran in Iran have resumed.”
Sharjah-based Air Arabia had said they'd resume previously suspended flights to Tehran, Shiraz, and Lar starting July 6.
Emirates had earlier said operations to Baghdad were to recommence on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and Basra on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Customers connecting through Dubai to Iraq will be accepted for travel at their point of origin.
The world’s largest international carrier said on June 24 that it had resumed regularly scheduled operations after “minimal disruption” due to the conflict. It "took immediate action by suspending flights only to areas directly impacted by conflict while maintaining operations to all other destinations."
Emirates successfully maintained scheduled services by rerouting flights to avoid conflict zones. It flew over 1.7 million passengers on more than 5,800 flights during the crisis.
