Sharjah: Fire at auto parts warehouse brought under control

A fire was reported at a Sharjah warehouse on Thursday morning, the Sharjah Civil Defence announced.

The blaze took place at an auto spare parts warehouse located in Industrial Area 6.

The authority brought the fire under control in record time with no injuries reported in the incident.

On April 13, a fire had broken out in a fruits and vegetables warehouse located in Sharjah’s industrial area 15. The flames marked the second blaze of the day in Sharjah after a deadly fire claimed the lives of five in a fire at a high-rise tower in Sharjah’s Al Nahda area.

Meanwhile Sharjah is exploring ways to minimise fire mishaps and disasters by deploying advanced technologies in buildings in the emirate. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be key in making structures more resilient to such risks.
