3 killed, 58 injured as UAE intercepts 165 ballistic missiles, 541 Iranian drones

Ministry noted that debris from intercepted missiles and drones caused minor to moderate material damage to several civilian properties

Iranian strikes in the past two days resulted in three fatalities in the UAE among Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi expats. The authorities reported 58 cases of minor injuries involving citizens and residents of multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan.

On Day 2 of Iranian strikes, the UAE Air Defence Forces destroyed 20 ballistic missiles, downed 8 into the sea, destroyed 2 cruise missiles, and intercepted 311 drones. Meanwhile, 21 drones reportedly struck civilian targets.

Since Saturday, February 28, a total of 165 ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the UAE have been detected. Of these, 152 were destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea. Two cruise missiles were detected and destroyed. Additionally, 541 Iranian drones were detected; 506 were intercepted and destroyed, while 35 reached UAE territory, causing material damage.

The ministry noted debris from intercepted missiles and drones caused minor to moderate material damage to several civilian properties.

The Ministry of Defence reported the UAE Air Force and Air Defence forces successfully intercepted a large number of projectiles during the ongoing attacks from Iran.

It emphasised the UAE remains on high alert and ready to respond to any threats, confirming the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is the top priority. The ministry urged the public to rely on official sources for information and avoid circulating unverified reports or rumours.
