Fire at Fujairah oil industry zone under control after drone debris falls

No injuries were reported during the incident and normal operations in the area have resumed

A fire broke out during the morning hours of Tuesday, March 3, in Fujairah's Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), after debris fell due to drone interception by air defences.
While responding to concerns of loud sounds heard across many areas of the city, the Media Office said in a statement that relevant authorities responded to the blaze and brought it under control.
No injuries were reported during the incident and normal operations in the area have resumed.

The authority urged the public to obtain information from official state sources and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information. Meanwhile, relevant teams continue to monitor the situation and take necessary measures to ensure everyone's safety.
This is the first such incident reported in Fujairah. Ras Al Khaimah also reported first drone debris falling incident in residential area for the first time on March 2.
Meanwhile, Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been dealing with ballistic missiles, drones from day one of the conflict, with some fatalities and injuries being reported.
