Dubai's Civil Defence teams are currently conducting cooling operations in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport. Authorities confirmed that the fire in a fuel tank near DXB has been extinguished, according to a statement by Dubai Media Office at 7.23pm.

The fire led to the temporary suspension of flights, with some DXB flights being diverted to Al Maktoum Airport. However, nearly five hours later, the airport announced a gradual resumption of select flights. Emirates confirmed it is expected to operate a limited Dubai flight schedule after 10am after a short suspension.

DXB urged passengers not to travel to the airport unless directly contacted by their airline.

Dubai authorities also temporarily closed several roads; Airport Street and the Airport Tunnel were shut, along with Al Garhoud Bridge leading to Casablanca Street and the Cargo Village and Marrakech Street intersections toward the airport.

At 11.49pm, Dubai Police announced that traffic has returned to normal on all roads leading to Airport Road.

On March 1, Dubai Airports confirmed that an incident occurred at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident. They have received urgent medical attention, and their condition is being monitored. DXB said the emergency response teams were immediately deployed and that the situation was managed in coordination with the relevant authorities.
