Drone intercepted over Dubai's Burj Al Arab, shrapnel sparks minor fire

Civil Defence teams responded immediately and brought the incident under control

Dubai authorities have confirmed that a drone was intercepted, and debris caused a minor fire on the Burj Al Arab's outer facade. Civil Defence teams responded immediately and brought the incident under control. No injuries have been reported.
Dubai Airports also confirmed that an incident occurred at Dubai International Airport (DXB) earlier today. Four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident. They have received urgent medical attention, and their condition is being monitored.
DXB said the emergency response teams were immediately deployed and that the situation was managed in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Dubai authorities confirmed that an incident occurred in a building in the Palm Jumeirah area. Emergency response teams were deployed immediately and the site was secured. Dubai Civil Defence confirmed that the resulting fire was under control.
