Government schools will implement staggered start times for the academic year 2025-2026, according to the MoE. The schedules provide separate times for boys and girls in cycles two and three, as well as age differences between educational stages.

This arrangement also aims to ensure smooth daily operations within schools and facilitate transportation.

Kindergarten classes run from Monday to Thursday, starting at 8am until 1 pm with five lessons per day, each lasting 45 minutes. A 15-minute story reading session is allocated after lessons and before dismissal. On Fridays, classes start at 8am and end at 11:45am, divided into four short lessons, for a total of 24 weekly lessons.
