CANBERRA - An electronic portal for UAE students seconded to Australia and New Zealand has been inaugurated by the UAE embassy in Canberra.
The portal is based on a comprehensive bi-lingual complete database providing services, information, academic data, reports, contact details, addresses etc. in English and Arabic for all UAE students to facilitate communication with the Cultural Attache's office, said UAE Cultural Attache for Australia and New Zealand Abdul Rehman Al Ghardagha.
“The portal is a significant step towards computerization of all procedures and paperwork for easy retrieval of students' data,” he added.
He thanked the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for doubling monthly salaries of UAE students pursuing studies worldwide.
