The Abu Dhabi Police on Tuesday shared a video that shows an SUV failing to give priority to pedestrians walking on a zebra crossing.

The video shows the SUV approaching two people on a zebra crossing. The vehicle fails to slow down and narrowly avoids hitting one of the pedestrians. The other pedestrian waits at the zebra crossing and allows the vehicle to pass.

Behind the SUV was a taxi, who respected the pedestrian's rights and waited for her to pass.

The police warned that not giving priority to pedestrians crossing from their designated areas will result in a fine of Dh500 and six black points.
