His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, came to the rescue of a woman cyclist after she suffered a fall during a bicycle race held on Wednesday, January 15.

According to an Instagram post on Emirates Vision's official account, the cyclist belonged to the Al Wathba cycling team and sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
It was in March 2018, that Sheikh Mohammed had helped a European family whose vehicle got stuck in the desert in UAE.
Pictures of the 'rescue operation' went viral after they were first tweeted by Emarat Al Youm. In the pictures, Sheikh Mohammed's entourage can be seen towing the tourists' vehicle that had gone off the road and had got stuck in the sand.
The Ruler also guided them towards the main road from where they could continue their journey safely.
