Motorists faced significant delays in Dubai and Sharjah during the rush hour commute on Wednesday morning.
Dubai Police reported the accident at 8: 45am on Ras Al Khor towards Bu Kadra Bridge and advised motorists to take caution and take alternative routes to avoid long delays.

The police reported another accident at 8:15am on Al Khail Road after Business Bay Bridge, towards Jebel Ali and advised motorists to be extra cautious on roads.

"Accident on Al Khail Road after Business Bay Bridge, towards Jebel Ali. Please be extra cautious," the police said on Twitter.

Commuters travelling on E44 Road from Ras Al Khor towards Al Qouz area were caught in long queues.

Drivers on D90 Road around Al Satwa, Al Mankhool and near Al Jafiliya have also been facing slow moving traffic.

In Sharjah, slow moving traffic was observed on the E11 Road, particularly in Al Nahda, towards Dubai. Tailbacks were also reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial Area towards Dubai.
