Dubai Police have tweeted out a warning about an accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning.

"Severe traffic congestion due to an accident in Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, before Mirdif Bridge towards Abu Dhabi. Motorists urged to use alternative routes," Dubai Police tweeted.

Drivers are advised to be cautious around the area.
Police have issued a weather warning for motorists urging them to drive carefully as moderate rain lashed parts of Dubai today morning.
