A teacher who won over the UAE Vice-President's heart when she warmly welcomed students to school on a cold morning has received a royal honour.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, invited Sheikhah Al Noaiymi to a Cabinet meeting he chaired in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. He honoured her with the Medal of the Prime Minister and also offered her a promotion.

In a video he posted on his social media channels on Sunday, Sheikh Mohammed can be seen personally presenting the medal to Sheikhah's mother. He is then seen interacting with both of them.

Sheikh Mohammed tweeted that the teacher's positivity, energy and kindness were "heartwarming". "She treats the students as if they were her children. She is a good example, not only for our schools, but also for all government entities. We provided her with the Medal of the Prime Minister, and approved a promotion for her. We thanked her in today's Cabinet meeting."

Last week, Netizens helped the Dubai Ruler identify the teacher after he posted a video that showed Sheikhah welcoming her students to schools in a caring and loving manner.

Sheikh Mohammed, who is known for investing in human resource development and education, tweeted then: "A beginning of a school day in UAE, the beginning is different when a teacher has a beautiful soul, says good words, shows an honest smile, spreads optimism and true positivity among her students. Can someone identify her? We are looking for her."

Netizens were able to identify the teacher, who works in Al Ain's Aliya School, within hours. Al Noaiymi thanked all of her followers on Twitter for sharing the video, saying that she is touched with the feedback on the video.

The educator said that she's proud and happy of her work, adding that she prays to Allah to make the students better for their parents and their country.
