Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, said the proactive approach of the UAE's leadership has enabled the country to respond speedily to the Covid-19 pandemic and minimise its impact on the community.
Sheikh Mansour's comments came during his remote meeting with Dubai's Covid-19 Command and Control Centre to discuss the latest updates on the crisis and the facility's cooperation between local and federal entities, and global institutions like the World Health Organization (WHO).
During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour praised the UAE's scientific community for its response to the pandemic. "The UAE's scientific sector is now experiencing its best phase. Scientists of the UAE have put the nation among the top countries shaping the world's future. The Command and Control Centre plays a major role in the nation's efforts to combat Covid-19," he said.
Sheikh Mansour also highlighted the crucial role of Dubai's Covid-19 Command and Control Centre and its resolute efforts to combat the pandemic and prevent the spread of the virus.
"Today we are reaping the fruits of the vision of our wise leadership, which has been instrumental in the success of our efforts to contain the spread of the virus and mitigate its repercussions," Sheikh Mansour said.
The operations team at Dubai's Covid-19 Command and Control Centre briefed Sheikh Mansour on the latest measures to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic. A team of more than 1,800 doctors, administrators, supervisors and volunteers are working around the clock to meet the needs of people affected by the coronavirus.
Members of Dubai's Covid-19 Command and Control Centre team expressed their pride at contributing to the UAE's efforts to overcome the Covid-19 crisis and supporting the global health community in its quest to find effective solutions for countering the disease.
Dubai's Covid-19 Command and Control Centre was established by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, to enhance collaboration across the healthcare sector and ensure alignment with the Dubai Government's efforts to tackle the Covid-19 outbreak.
