His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, at Zaabeel Palace in Dubai on Thursday, November 28.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the strategic relation between the two nations. During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interests and ways of developing the ties.
The reception was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Lt-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group; and several Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials from both sides.
After the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan accompanied Mohammed bin Salman to the Expo 2020 Dubai site, where both the leaders visited the sites for the UAE and Saudi pavilions.
Sheikh Hamdan stressed that Prince Mohammed bin Salman's keenness to visit the Expo site reflects the interest of Saudi Arabia to support the global event through its participation with the second largest pavilion after the UAE pavilion. "The Saudi participation represents a great value and importance as the Kingdom has a qualitative and strategic importance as a bright front for the development trends in the region," added Sheikh Hamdan.
Both the leaders were briefed about the work being carried out at the site and detailed plans for the pavilions. Prince Mohammed bin Salman saw the model of the UAE Pavilion, designed in the form of the wing of a flying falcon that will include four floors with a total area of ??more than 15,000 sqm. Sheikh Hamdan and Mohammed bin Salman also watched a short film on the design of the Saudi Pavilion, which was unveiled in April last year. With a total area of 13,069 sqm, the pavilion's design is a manifestation of the Kingdom's adherence to its heritage.
