Thousands of people ran, jogged, and walked for the very first for Dubai Run 30x30, that turned a section of Sheikh Zayed Road into a running track for residents and visitors on Friday morning.
People queued up for the 5k and 10km in the early hours of the morning at the World Trade Centre Arena. Runners of all ages, across nationalities were in high spirits as they sprinted across the open Sheikh Zayed Road.
Several were seen taking selfies and pictures of their loved ones as they slept, did push-ups, and other exercises on Dubai's busiest highway.
Several runners turned up as early as 4am to collect their bibs and warm up for the run. The trade center metro station witnessed unprecedented crowds after 5.30 am as several thousand runners uses the metro to reach the start point.
