Heavy congestion on Dubai airport roads ahead of Eid holidays

Dubai - Motorists have been urged to abide by the traffic laws during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Motorists faced significant delays in Dubai during the rush hour commute on Thursday morning.
Dubai Police reported traffic congestion near the Dubai International Airport and advised motorists to take caution and take alternative routes to avoid long delays.

Motorists have been urged to abide by the traffic laws during the Eid Al Adha holidays. The UAE has declared Eid holidays from Saturday, August 10 until Tuesday, August 13 for that public and private sector workers in the country.
Dubai-based airline Emirates has also urged passengers to arrive early at the Dubai airport during the  holidays as it anticipates heavy traffic during the period.

Peak travel is expected to start on Thursday, August 8, in the evening and continue until Saturday, August 10, with over 372,000 Emirates passengers travelling from Dubai. Passengers are encouraged to build in extra travel time to avoid any delays with expected traffic congestion and road works around Terminal 3 during this time.
