Joining Emirates and Etihad, flydubai has also banned a certain model of Macbook Pro laptops in both checked and carry-on luggage. The airline made the announcement on its website on Sunday.
"Following the recall of a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro models, which were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017, we will be unable to accept these devices in hand baggage or checked baggage unless the battery has been replaced," flydubai said.

The Dubai-based carrier also urged passengers to check if their device is affected by the recall.
Earlier, Emirates and Etihad has also banned the device from their flights.
The model of Macbook Pros in question have been found to have batteries that may overheat and pose a fire hazard. Apple has launched a worldwide recall programme to replace the batteries on affected devices.
