An Emirati won $1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw held on Tuesday at Dubai International Airport.
Haroon Almulla, who won with ticket number 1283 that he bought online, couldn't be reached by the raffle's organisers at Press time.
Almulla is the 10th UAE national to win in the promotion since its launch in 1999.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, three more winners were announced for the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion.
Reza Dole, a 43-year-old Australian national based in Dubai, won a Bentley Continental GT in Series 1730 with his ticket number 1580. Dole is a banker who has been living in Dubai for the past 10 years. "I am delighted that I have finally won a car after years of trying."
Two Indian nationals, who are also in Dubai, have won a motorbike each. Praveena Palasihadka won an Indian Scout in Series no. 377 with ticket number 0186, while Pushparaj Muniyoor won a Moto Guzzi V85 TT with ticket number 0597.
Muniyoor, a 31-year-old Keralite, wasn't a first-time winner. In August 2018, he had won a BMW S 1000 RR in Series 342. He couldn't believe he won again. This time, he bought a ticket with his two friends and they split the cost.
