The Dubai Police have always made their presence felt on the streets and online, attending to over 11,000 inquiries on social media in the first half of the year. But besides questions and clarifications, Netizens also took the time to express their appreciation, sending more than 2,000 thank-you notes to the team.
Brig Khalid Ali Shuhail, director of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, said they responded to a total of 11,685 inquiries from January to June this year. There were general questions, general assistance requests, traffic and criminal related inquiries, services-related complaints and feedbacks. But thank-you letters from the Dubai Police's online followers also poured in, reaching 2,710.
In terms of engagement on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, the Dubai Police's pages saw a whopping 4.83 million audience interactions.
"Within seven years, the section has remarkably scored record achievements at the local and federal government departments level. This is a result of Dubai Police's keenness to enhance communication channels with members of the public and to deal with their feedbacks and complaints," Brig Shuhail noted.
Their social media section had achieved a satisfaction rate of 91 per cent among community members on social media channels.
