A Dubai expat stood trial on Sunday at the Dubai Court of First Instance for allegedly sexually harassing a woman at a bowling centre.
Public prosecution records show that the incident took place on September 22 and was caught on CCTV cameras. It was reported at Al Barsha police station.
The complainant, a 32-year-old Australian woman, recounted the incident before the prosecution investigators. "I went with my friends to a five-star resort to play bowling. As I was putting on my shoes, the defendant - a 34-year-old British resident - walked very close to me and touched me inappropriately."
The CCTV images from the resort were used as evidence by the prosecution.
The trial will continue on January 28.
