Air India Express crash: 4 kids among 18 deceased; victims identified

Eighteen people including two crew members lost their lives after Air India Express flight IX 1344 from Dubai overshot the runway while landing at the Calicut International Airport on Friday. Among the victims were four children aged between one and five years.
Air India Express took to Twitter on Saturday to confirm the the 18 casualties.

According to the airline, the deceased are:

Mohammed Riyas, 24 - Palakkad
Saheer Sayed, 38 - Malappuram
Lailabi K V, 51 - Malappuram
Rajeevan Cherikka Parambil, 61 - Kozhikode
Manal Ahamed, 25 - Kozhikode
Sharafudheenn, 35 - Kozhikode
Janaky Kunnoth, 55 - Kozhikode
Azam Muhammed Chembayi, 1 - Kozhikode
Santha Marakkat, 59 - Malappuram
Sudheer Vaariyath, 45  - Malappuram
Sheza Fathima, 2 - Malappuram
Remya Muraleedharan, 32 - Kozhikode
Aysha Dua, 2 - Palakkad
Shivathmika, 5 - Kozhikode
Zhenobia, 40 - Kozhikode
Sahira Banu, 29 - Kozhikode

The deceased were natives of Malappuram, Kozhikode and Palakkad districts of Kerala. There were 184 passengers and six crew members on board.
