Dubai-based millionaire has splashed out a cool Rs1.4 billion (Dh77 million) on his son's three-day-long Italian wedding bonanza, UK's Daily Mail reported.
One of the many expat success stories in the UAE, Yogesh Mehta, listed as one of the top 50 richest Indians in the Gulf countries (GCC) in 2015 and estimated to be worth $533 million, spared no expense when it came to his ONLY son Rohan's Italian wedding in the Renaissance city of Florence.

According to reports, around 500 guests were invited to Rohan and London born, Roshni's wedding.
NRI Mehta, a Harvard graduate, made his fortune in the petrochemical business, founded his company Petrochem in Dubai in 1995. The business tycoon had taken to Twitter to announce his son's wedding earlier this month:
The three-day long wedding bonanza began on Wednesday (November 25) with guest flying into Florence and being put up at the finest hotels in the city.
Donned in a traditional Indian sari and beautiful henna pattern on her hands, the lucky bride, Roshni, was born and raised in London and owns a fashion company IZAAK AZANEI, the Mail reported.
It is expected the marriage will be celebrated in All Saints Square, where there will be a procession led by the groom, the Mail further added.
It's no surprise that in today's age of social media, the grand wedding had its own hashtag too, with guest sharing pictures from the wedding using the hashtag #roro2015
Earlier this week, another Gulf-based NRI business tycoon, Ravi Pillai, had doled out a whopping Rs550 million on his daughter's wedding.
No elephant!
Grooms, in South Asian weddings, are known to make their entry on horseback or an elephant, but according to the Mail, the Italian media had reported that Florence City Council refused a request for Rohan to arrive at the ceremony on an elephant.
'According to Florence newspaper La Nazione, the request was turned down on grounds of health and safety and animal welfare concerns.'
Settling in Dubai
Yogesh, also known as Yogi, had moved to Dubai at the age of 29 with no job or business plan. His Petrochem company is one of the largest independent petrochemical distributors in the Middle East.
His only son and the groom, Rohan joined the family business in recent years and is expected to take on a larger role in the coming years. He is a BA in business from Northeastern University in Boston.
He also owns the Raging Tiger events company, that organises concerts and balls across the UAE. The newlyweds are expected to settle in Dubai.
