While, the top positions in the commerce and humanities streams in the UAE were clinched by respectively by Akshay Sanjay Joshi scoring an aggregate of 94.8 per cent and Nida Sohail obtaining 89.8 per cent. Both the students belong to the Indian High School, Dubai.
Anchal Agarwal, according to her principal, Madhav Rao, has not only emerged a topper in the UAE, but has definitely bagged a rank in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board, New Delhi.
The overall performance of students in the CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE is remarkable, with girls outshining boys in most schools. This year, most schools have also registered cent per cent pass results improving upon their previous years performance. Some of the results received by Khaleej Times are as follows:
THE INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI has set a new record in the aggregate marks of the commerce stream (94.8 per cent) and Humanities (89.8 per cent), making the school the UAE topper in Commerce and Humanities streams. In the Science Stream, out of 208 students, 8 per cent secured 90 per cent and above aggregate and 97 per cent were placed in the 1st division.
In the commerce stream, out of 201 students, 8 per cent secured 90 per cent and above, while 29 per cent secured between 80 to 89 per cent marks and 95.5 per cent of students secured 1st division. In the arts stream, all of 18 students secured first division — 33 per cent secured between 70 to 79 and 44 per cent reached an aggregate of 80 or above.
The school toppers include Akshay Sanjay Joshi, commerce stream with a whopping 94.8 per cent, Jolly Anna Thomas topped the science group with 94.0 per cent, and the topper in the humanities is Nida Sohail who secured 89.8 per cent.
The top three students in the commerce stream include Akshay Sanjay Joshi obtaining 94.8 per cent , followed by Gopika Ranganathan in the second place with 94.0 per cent, and Nikhil Rajendra Thakur securing 93.4 per cent in the third place.
In the science stream, Jolly Anna Thomas stood first with 94 per cent, followed by Gayathri Gopa Kumar second with 93.4 per cent, and Arun Jose Palatty third with 93 per cent marks.
In the arts stream, Nida Sohail securing 89.8 per cent bagged the first position, followed by Shyama Krishna Kumar with 89.4 per cent and Alka with 84.4 per cent in the second and third place, respectively.
OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI students notched up a brilliant performance in the CBSE examination for grade 12 with Anchal Agarwal of the science stream securing a record breaking high of 96.8 per cent both topping the school list as well as in the UAE. She was followed by Archana Krishna with 95.8 per cent and Anjel Joseph with 94.6 per cent marks.
Preeti Subramanian is the topper in commerce with 91 per cent followed by Sangeetha Sathyanarayanan with 90.4 per cent and Natasha with 89.8 per cent. Kriti Madrecha is the topper in humanities with 88 per cent followed by Karishma Atmaramani with 84.4 per cent and Shazia Anjum Khan with 81.6 per cent.
THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL, DUBAI achieved a commendable 100 per cent pass. As many as 52 students — 31 boys and 21 girls — appeared for the exam. In the commerce stream, Jibby Mathew topped with 90.4 per cent and in the science stream, Vishvas Samuel Suryakumar topped with 85.2 per cent. Sixty-nine per cent of the students in the science stream and 65 per cent of the students in the commerce stream secured a first division.
THE NEW INDIAN MODEL SCHOOL, DUBAI sent a total of 80 students for the class 12 examination. Of them, 47 sat for commerce stream and 33 for science. In an overall performance, 45 students secured 75 per cent and above, 27 got 60 per cent and above, and seven got 50 per cent and above marks.
In commerce stream girls swept the top slots in their group, as well as school. Bindya Surendra Babu stood first with 88.2 per cent, followed by Nehal Aklaq Ahmad with 87.4. The third position was taken by Farheen Sultana with 86.6.
In commerce stream amongst boys Suraj Sasidharan stood first with 84.4 per cent, second slot was taken by Irfan Ali C K with 83.8 per cent while Abdul Aziz M. Hanif stood third with 82 per cent. In science stream Deepesh Aravindakshan stood first in school as well as amongst boys with 86.8 per cent. Shabna Shajahan and Amina Nubla Nizar together became first amongst girls and second in school with 84.8 per cent marks. Minu Sanjeev Kumar stood second amongst girls with 83.6 per cent. Aisha Mehnaz stood third with 80.4 per cent marks. In science stream amongst boys Shibu Balan stood second with 81.6 per cent, Nabeel Mohammed took third position with 77.8 per cent.
OUR OWN INDIAN SCHOOL, DUBAI which presented its second batch of 58 pupils this year has in the science stream obtained 100 per cent pass while in the commerce stream with one exception everyone passed. Vipin Roy stood first in the school in the science stream while in the commerce stream the credit goes to Harsha Haridas.
The other outstanding performers among boys are Science: Binny Sabu, Arjun Kanumarath and Sumit Ninan; and Commerce: James, Vineet Jayadevan and Abdul Basith.
Among the girls in the science stream toppers include Anjali B. Pillai, Merry Pauly and Reshma Sunny; and in Commerce, Helena George and Aiswarya Mariam Mathew.
THE CENTRAL SCHOOL, DUBAI registered good results with toppers in the commerce stream including Hassan Fatta Madni in the first place with 84.8 per cent, Adeel Fayyaz in the second position with 82.2 per cent and Ayesha Heena followed closely in the third place with 81.8 per cent marks.
In the science stream, Rashida Haji Ahmed achieved the top rank securing 84.8 per cent, while Zakiya Kanitha second with 77 per cent and Suaad Hafiz in the third position.
GULF MODEL SCHOOL, DUBAI obtained 98 per cent pass results with Chacko Xavier with 525 marks, Allwin James with 501 marks and Jicky Rajan with 498 marks bagged the top three positions respectively in the science stream. In the commerce stream, Salwa Assainar, obtaining 508 marks, Nusiba Kolayath 501 marks and Shafana Abdul Razack 486 marks, clinched the top three positions respectively.
GULF INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI has Sana Safatul Islam topping the list among the girls in the science stream, followed by Afiya Banu and Fatima Shabbir. In the commerce stream, Jasmeet Kaur topped the list followed by Heena Morwani, Amandeep and Rudmila Matin.
In the science stream boys section Pankaj Lalwani stood first, followed by Faez Mohmud and Dheeraj Gangi. In the commerce stream Lukhbir Singh topped the list followed by Jaswant Singh and Irshad Nazir Ahmed.
EMIRATES ENGLISH SPEAKING SCHOOL, DUBAI emerged successful with cent per cent result. Manisha G. Khiani of the girls section topped the commerce stream with 84 pewr cent, Meenal Bharath Kumar clinched the second place with 83.4 per cent and Jyoti Raj Ahuja stood third with 80.4 per cent. In the boys section, Jason Antony Fernandes topped the class with 83 per cent and Mohd Ibrahim secured the second position with 78.4 per cent, while Jatin Subramaniam Vettukattil with 76.6 per cent bagged the third place.
In the science stream, Gaurav Sushil Sukhija stood first with 79.8 per cent, Faraz Mohammed Saeed Sonde secured the second place with 77.2 per cent closely followed by Anil David Ramakrishnan with 76.2 per cent marks.
GULF ASIAN ENGLISH SCHOOL, SHARJAH had Shamrose Razak topping the school with 82 per cent, followed by Umme Khulsum securing 70 per cent in the science stream. Yuvika Justin topped the commerce stream with 77 per cent, followed by Navtika Sinha, Megha Srikumaran and Aateqa Salma Khan all securing 76 per cent marks.
SHARJAH INDIAN SCHOOL presented a total of 347 candidates with Ahmed Hatim Fatepurwala bagging the first position with 94.6 per cent in the boys section as well as in the school. The second and third positions are bagged by Nitin Pookolayil Sleeba with 84.8 per cent and Ashwin Nandakumar with 84.2 per cent.
Among girls in the commerce stream, B. Indhu with 92.2 per cent stood first, while the second and third positions were taken by Anjali Panicker 91.8 per cent and Kitty Alexander with 89.8 per cent.
In the science stream, Jisha Jacob with 91.4 per cent stands first in the girls section, followed by Shipla Prasad with 90.2 per cent in the second place and Ashrin Shabir with 89.8 per cent in the third place.
Among the boys, Mohammed Yasser Farook with 91 per cent stood first, followed by Rajan Bapodra with 90.8 per cent in the second place and Anoop Wilson with 89.8 per cent in the third position.
DELHI PRIVATE SCHOOL, SHARJAH which sent its third batch of students this year has registered cent per cent pass results. Of a total of 103 students who appeared for the examination, 94 per cent were placed in the first division out of which 43 per cent secured distinction. The remaining 6 per cent came in the second division.
In the science stream, Avinash Ramachandran topped the list among boys scoring 89.2 per cent, followed by Nitesh Sood in the second position scoring 87.4 per cent, and Rohan Arora in the third position with 86.6 per cent. Among girls, Misbah Vaseem Baig ranked first scoring 86.6 per cent, followed by Krithika Balu in the second position with 85.8 per cent and Panuganti Jnana Prasanna in the third with 83 per cent.
In the commerce stream, girls topped the list with Neera Arya bagging the first position scoring 89.4 per cent followed by Vaidehi Hrishikesh Chavhan in the second position scoring 89.2 per cent and Kaamna Bhatia 85.8 per cent. Among boys, Ravneet Singh Sahani ranked the first position scoring 84 per cent followed by Neekhil Verma in the second position scoring 77 per cent and Piiyush Kalathil Ullas in the third position scoring 76.8 per cent marks.
In the humanities stream, Richa Sulochana Gejji bagged the first position scoring 79.6 per cent followed by Bhairavi Atulkumar Thanki in the second position scoring 77.4 per cent and Sakina Zoher Sapatwala in the third position with 76.4 per cent aggregate.
INDIAN SCHOOL AJMAN presented 31 students with all students passing successfully. Krishna Harshan topped the girls commerce section with 93.8 per cent, followed by Fatima Abbas with 92.6 per cent and Diana A Dias with 92.2 per cent in the third place. In the science section Lekshmi Radhakrishnan topped the school with 92.6 per cent and Madhurya P stood second with 91.4 per cent.
THE ABU DHABI INDIAN SCHOOL sent a total of 213 students for the examination and obtained a record hundred per cent pass. As many as 36 students secured grade A in all the five elective subjects in their respective streams. Statistical analysis reveals excellent performance by the students. In the science stream, of the 138 students who appeared, 131 secured first division with 84 distinctions and six second division. Of the 74 students in the commerce stream, 70 got first division, with 25 distinctions and four students secured second division. In the arts stream the girl who appeared passed in first division.
Toppers of the school in the science stream from the boys' section include Roshan Mathew John with 93.2 per cent and A1 in all five elective subjects stood first, Areshdeep Singh with 93 per cent and A1 in all five elective subjects bagged the second place and Alan Ranjit Jacob with 92.6 per cent and A1 in all five elective subjects stood third. The toppers among the girls include Misbah Fathima Azmath with 91.4 per cent with all five A's followed by Chhavi Bindal with 90.8 per cent and all five A's in the second place, and Rashmi Lagisetty with 90.4 per cent and four A's clinching the third place.
In the commerce stream among the girls, Caroline Elizabeth Abraham with 92.4 per cent and A's in all five subjects stood first, Akansha Nath with 89.6 per cent and A's in all five subjects second and Reeya Siddharth Joshi with 89.4 per cent and five A's third. Among the boys the top three positions went to Khayaal R. Patel with 86.6 per cent and four A1, Garry Anthony D'Souza with 86 per cent and five A's in the elective subjects and Syed Farhan Nasir R. with 85.4 per cent and four A's. In the arts stream, Naila Siddiqi secured 64.2 per cent.
THE ST. JOSPH'S SCHOOL, ABU DHABI posted cent per cent results. Out of 59 students, 34 appeared for the science stream and 25 for commerce stream.
Anjana Venugopalan is the topper with an aggregate of 95 per cent in the science stream where 86 per cent of the students secured distinction and 14 per cent first class. She was followed by Ann Marie Thomas in the second place with 89.2 per cent and Maya and Melodfy Coelho jointly in third place with 87.6 per cent marks each.
In the commerce stream, 40 per cent secured distinction and 14 per cent first class, with Tania Tom Thomas emerging the topper followed by Reshma Surendran in the second place with 86 per cent, and Kaajal Umesh Bhatia in the third place with 83 per cent.
INDIAN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL, RAS AL KHAIMAH presented its 11th batch of science stream to the examination and registered cent percent results.
Out of 21 students from science stream, six bagged Distinction, 14 secured first division. Reema Mohamed topped the list with 83 per cent followed by Simranjit Kaur Nehal with 76.6 per cent and Steffina Varghese got third rank with 76.2 per cent.
The school’s seventh batch of commerce stream registered cent per cent result with Bijna Mohanbabu having topped the list with 89.6 per cent followed by Neelima N. Pillai with 87.2 per cent and Reda Bou Najem and Romesa Anwar got third rank with 86.8 per cent.
THE RAS AL KHAIMAH INDIAN SCHOOL proved its academic excellence by securing 100 per cent result with Shaima Rahman bagging the top honour with 90.2 per cent in the commerce stream, followed by Batul Kalabhai and Reshma Namburimadam with 89.2 per cent. Moinuddin Rahman Mahtab with 86 per cent stood first among the boys followed by Hamdan Rashid Mohd Tajir Shirawi with 84.4 per cent.
In science stream, Madonna William got the top honour with 88.6 per cent followed by Anisha Abdul Rasheed with 86 per cent among the girls, and Mohammed Shazin Nasar with 85.8 per cent comes first among the boys followed by Ishan Mandhan with 85 per cent.
OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, AL AIN has excelled itself yet again with a 100 per cent pass results with Manju Sara Oommen and Neha Nair standing first in school in the science stream with an outstanding performance obtaining an overall aggregate of 90.6 per cent. They were followed by Kiran Thomas in the second position with 86 per cent and Don Sunny in the third place with 85 per cent. Laji Geo Abraham stood first in the Commerce stream with an aggregate of 84 per cent.
INDIAN SCHOOL, AL AIN achieved 100 per cent results producing toppers in both science and commerce streams in Al Ain region. In the science stream 40 students appeared, out of which 65 per cent got distinction and 30 per cent students have been placed in the first division.
In the science stream Mohd Awais Imtiaz stood first with record breaking 94.4 per cent, Jijin John stood second with 91per cent and Richa Zara Nizar stood third with 90.2 per cent. In the commerce stream, 32 students appeared, out of which 44 per cent got distinction and 50 per cent students have been placed in the first division.
In the commerce stream, Vidya Viswanath stood first with record breaking 93.6 per cent, Kiran Daniel and Neethu Varghese share the second position with 87.8 per cent and Ansi Rahila stands third with 87 per cent.
OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, FUJAIRAH registered good results with a total of 30 candidates, 29 passed with good grades.
Amrita Dasgupta of science stream scored a personal aggregate of 91 per cent and topped the school. Fareena Hassan scored an aggregate of 84 per cent and stood first in the Commerce stream. Sibi Abraham Manalel stood first among the boys in the science stream with an aggregate of 88 per cent, where as Vibha Vinodrai R. Pattni with an aggregate 82 per cent finished second in commerce stream.
