The 37-year-old Pakistani man allegedly seized a moment when no one was in the gym of the residential compound to close the door, get close to the girl, grab her hand and try to hug her. But she pushed him away and ran towards her parents.
The guard denied in court that he tried to molest the student. He claimed the couple physically assaulted him first.

The case dates back to August 14 and was reported to Bur Dubai police.
The Indian student, 21, said the guard told her around 9:00 pm that it was time to leave the gym as it was to be closed. "However, as I was about to leave I was surprised to see him closing the door. He got very close to me, touched me and wanted to hug me".

She pushed him off with both her hands and ran to tell her parents about this incident.
"My father found him outside the gym. As he grabbed him the guard bit my father's finger to break free. When my mother stepped in to help my father the guard bit her left arm," the student said during the investigation.
The police arrived by then and arrested the guard.
