Dubai Police held a meeting ahead of the 2026 New Year celebrations as part of preparations to ensure the highest levels of security and safety during the festivities, which attract large crowds, especially at major attractions such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Dubai Festival City, Global Village, Burj Al Arab, and other key locations.
The meeting discussed operational and security plans for organising traffic, ensuring traffic flow, deploying security and field teams, crowd management, and coordination with relevant teams in government, semi-government, and private entities.

Contingency and crisis management plans were also reviewed, and the importance of integration between the various entities was emphasised to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for all.
"Securing New Year's Eve events in Dubai requires the highest levels of preparedness and coordination, and we at Dubai Police are working as a team with our partners in all sectors to ensure that Dubai is always at the forefront in terms of security and organisation." Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, affirmed.
