Calling all Esports enthusiasts! The fifth edition of the Dubai Police Esports Tournament will take place from August 14 to 17, 2025 — and participants can win from a cash prize pool of up to Dh200,000.
The authority has released a rulebook for the tournament, outlining guidelines about eligibility, registration, teams, prizes, and more for seven games: Valorant, Counter Strike 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, EAFC25, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and GameJam.
The amount of prize money players can receive depends on the game. Valorant and Counter Strike 2 have the highest prize pools of Dh40,000 each, which will be distributed among three winning teams. Super Smash Bros Ultimate and GameJam have the lowest prize pools of Dh10,000 each to be distributed among the winners.

Participants will have to be on their best behaviour as well. The rulebook features an extensive code of conduct which includes acts that could get players disqualified, such as breaking controllers, abusing the in-game pause and cutting the power.
The tournament, which boasts "high-stakes competitions and intense challenges", is open to both male and female players from the ages of 10 to 35, according to WAM. It will be held at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf.
