Dubai opens new 102-metre bridge for cyclists, pedestrians at Mushrif National Park
The new bridge connects previously separated sections of Mushrif’s mountain biking trail, allowing cyclists to ride continuously without crossing vehicle roads

Dubai Municipality has opened a new 102-metre bridge at Mushrif National Park, giving mountain bikers and walkers a smoother route through Dubai’s largest forest.
The new bridge connects sections of the park’s mountain biking trail that were previously separated, allowing cyclists to stay on one continuous route without stopping to cross a road used by vehicles.

Smoother ride through the park
The bridge has two separate paths, one for mountain bikers and another for pedestrians, helping keep the two routes safely apart while making it easier for visitors to move around the park.
The mountain biking route stretches 182 metres across the bridge, adding a new link to the park’s wider network of trails.
More than simply providing a connection between two parts of the trail, the bridge gives visitors a chance to experience Mushrif’s natural surroundings while cycling, walking and exploring the park without interruptions.
Adventure meets nature
The new facility is part of Dubai Municipality’s wider efforts to develop Mushrif National Park as a destination for outdoor activities, adventure and active lifestyles.
The park, home to Dubai’s largest forest, attracts families, cyclists, walkers and fitness enthusiasts, as well as visitors looking to spend time in nature.
With interest in mountain biking, walking and other outdoor activities growing, the new infrastructure is designed to make these experiences safer and more accessible while encouraging people to stay active.
More ways to explore Mushrif
Badr Anwahi, Executive Director of Public Facilities at Dubai Municipality, said the bridge gives cyclists a safer and more seamless way to navigate the park.
“The new bridge represents a valuable addition to Mushrif National Park, enhancing the mountain biking experience by providing a continuous connection between the two sections of the trail,” he said.
He added that the development of Mushrif National Park is focused on creating a destination that brings together adventure, nature and active lifestyles, rather than simply adding new facilities.
The bridge was also designed to blend into the park’s natural surroundings while improving access and movement across its trails.
Start at Mushrif Hub
Visitors can now begin their cycling or walking experience at Mushrif Hub, a dedicated destination for mountain bikers, walkers and nature lovers, before heading onto the newly connected trail.
The project forms part of Dubai’s broader push to create more accessible outdoor spaces that encourage physical activity and give residents and visitors more ways to enjoy the city’s natural surroundings.
