Dubai - The man admitted having hit four people, but didn't stop since he was scared and continued to drive on.

The Dubai Police arrested an Asian involved in a hit-and-run within an hour of the incident. The motorist had rammed his vehicle into four pedestrians - killing one - and fled the scene.
On being informed about the accident, the criminal investigation team, in cooperation with Al Qusais police station and Sharjah Police, took swift action and nabbed the culprit in less than 60 minutes.
Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police for criminal investigation affairs, confirmed that the officers tracked the driver down and his escape makes it a bigger crime.
Brigadier Yousef Al Adidi, director of Al Qusais police station, said that operations room of the Dubai Police received information at 9:45pm on Friday that four Asians walking on a road's shoulder were hit by a concrete mixer vehicle on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in the direction of Sharjah. One of the victims had died, while another was seriously injured. Two of the pedestrians had escaped with minor injuries.
The man admitted having hit four people, but didn't stop since he was scared and continued to drive on. The man was charged for hit-and-run.
