Dubai Mall is set to temporarily close some parking areas and ramps, the iconic shopping destination announced on its social media amid an "ongoing expansion".

Visitors have been alerted of temporary diversions and new traffic reroutes that they must take during this period.

Traffic which usually moves through these areas will now be rerouted via Grand Drive and Cinema P3.

Meanwhile, the mall also announced that the Grand Parking will be temporarily closing in June and a New Grand Drive is set to open in August.

Visitors have been advised to follow signage and keep extra margin for travel time as they use diversions.

The mall also recently announced the temporary closure of Dubai Fountain for five months as it undergoes renovation.

Parking charges

Last year, Dubai Mall introduced parking charges on July 1 after partnering up with Salik. The new paid parking system at Dubai Mall applies to Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, Fashion Parking, while Zabeel and Fountain Views parking locations remain complimentary.

Maximum tariff can reach up to Dh1,000 for a 24-hour parking. A barrierless parking system has been activated.

Parking fees are based on the number of hours consumed in the parking as per the business rules after the end of the free hours (4 hours during weekdays and 6 during weekends from Friday to Sunday).
