Dubai: Free entry tickets to Global Village offered to tourists by GDRFA

Travellers who recently arrived through Dubai International Airport and Hatta Border Crossing not only got entry stamps as they entered the UAE, but also received entry tickets to Global Village.

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)–Dubai on Tuesday shared pictures of tourists smiling as they showed their passports and free tickets to the region’s premier multicultural family destination.

“This (giving free tickets to Global Village) is part of the ‘Year of Community’ initiatives,” said GDRFA, adding: “Through this collaboration, Global Village provided complimentary entry tickets, which GDRFA Dubai distributed to travellers, offering them the opportunity to explore Dubai’s vibrant cultural and entertainment attractions.

“We are committed to continually launching impactful initiatives that create a positive and lasting impression on the visitor experience. This stems from our dedication to strengthening Dubai’s institutional reputation and elevating its global standing,” noted Lt-Gen Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, GDRFA director-general.

“Our collaboration with Global Village reflects our belief in the importance of enriching each visitor’s journey and fostering a strong sense of community belonging, contributing to the happiness and quality of life for all who arrive in our nation. It further reflects Dubai’s core values as a city characterised by tolerance, cultural diversity, and global leadership,” he added.

Meanwhile, Global Village announced on Monday giving free entrance to kids aged 12 and below. This special promotion runs until the end of Season 29. This limited-time offer marks a change from the usual policy, where only children under 3, seniors over 65, and people of determination (POD) are granted free admission.

Season 29 will officially end on May 11 as Global Village will close for the summer months.
