Dubai: 'New look' show to debut on Burj Khalifa from December 1; timings revealed

Dubai residents and visitors can prepare themselves to see Burj Khalifa in a new light — quite literally — as the iconic landmark prepares to unveil a new look tonight.

Emaar Properties announced the completion of a revolutionary facade lighting upgrade for the the building. This dynamic RGBW lighting system, integrating cutting-edge technology with the building’s architectural artistry, will debut during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 1, 2024.

The new look also comes ahead of Burj Khalifa’s 15th anniversary on January 4, 2025.

Visitors have the chance to witness the breathtaking spectacle under UAE's cloudy skies as the 'Eid Al Etihad Facade Lighting Show' will be available for public viewing on December 1 and 2.

Visitors will be able to watch the show within one-hour interval slots starting from 7.15pm, 8.15pm, 9.15pm and 10.15pm.

Coordinated with a six-month mock-up testing to ensure seamless integration, the latest upgrades bring a vibrant effect to the glimmering building, transforming its exterior into a stunning visual spectacle.

As per the developer, the upgraded system will replace static lights with colour-changing, addressable fixtures to create complex lighting effects. The new system can create dynamic lighting scenes — from festive displays to everyday illuminations — and be used to honour various occasions and celebrations.
