Dubai: Want to see your design displayed on Burj Khalifa? Dh100,000 prize money announced

The UAE residents have been invited to design a projection for the Burj Khalifa which will be displayed at the world’s tallest building.

Not just this. The winner will take home a grand prize of Dh100,000. Emaar, the master developer, said the winning design will be brought to life on the iconic façade of Burj Khalifa.

Entries will be accepted from May 6 to 26, providing artists, designers, and creatives a chance to leave their mark on one of the world’s most celebrated landmarks and share their vision with a global audience.

Participants are invited to submit original projection videos and animations that capture the spirit of innovation, creativity, and the vibrant culture of Dubai.

Submissions should showcase dynamic visual content with a duration of three minutes and must comply with specific technical requirements to ensure seamless integration with Burj Khalifa’s advanced projection system.

A detailed set of technical specifications — including resolution, format, and mapping guidelines — as well as the full terms and conditions, can be found at Burj Khalifa website.

In November 2024, Emaar announced the completion of a revolutionary façade lighting upgrade for Burj Khalifa. This debuted during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 1, 2024, and set the stage for Burj Khalifa’s 15th anniversary on January 4, 2025.
