In the early hours of Monday, a drone-related incident struck one of the fuel tanks near Dubai International Airport, causing a fire.

The Dubai Media Office (DMO) cited Civil Defence teams, saying the situation remains under control and the fire has been successfully contained with no spread.

No injuries were reported. Some flights at DXB were diverted to Al Maktoum Airport.

Later, Dubai announced a gradual resumption of select flights to and from Dubai International Airport to certain destinations, following the temporary suspension as a precautionary measure, the DMO said.
