On the first day of Eid Al Fitr, mosques will receive worshippers dressed in their Eid best shortly after sunrise for special congregational prayers marking the end of Ramadan. This year, authorities confirmed that congregational prayers will be held only inside mosques nationwide, with no outdoor setups, to ensure the safety of worshippers amid the current situation.
What time should you head to the mosques?
Eid prayers are typically held about 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise, which means the prayers will be held between 6.30am and 6.50am across the Emirates. As mosques are expected to be busy, worshippers are advised to arrive as early as 6-6.15am.

Sunnahs and etiquette of Eid prayer
There are several recommended practices Muslims observe before and after attending Eid prayers. These include:
Performing ghusl (ritual bathing), applying perfume, and wearing the best clothes
Eating dates in an odd number before leaving for prayer
Walking to the prayer ground if possible
Taking one route to the prayer and returning by a different route
The Eid prayer itself consists of two units (rak‘ahs) with additional takbeers.
In the first rak‘ah, worshippers perform seven takbeers after the opening takbeer, while the second rak‘ah includes six additional takbeers before continuing the prayer.
Muslims often remain after the prayer to exchange greetings and celebrate with family and community members
